Hello and thank you for your interest in lessons! My name is Shaun and I've been doing music professionally
for the past 5 years. I've made music for video games, short films, animations, and many other projects and
am familiar with composing and producing for many genres. I'm a winner of the National Choir Award in 2005
and have two years of training in music education. I am also the cofounder of a charity music co-op called Charitunes.
Lessons are $35 per 1 hour session or $225 (-10% discount) if you pay for all 7 lessons up front
More or fewer lessons will be determined before the first lesson.
Below I will go into detail about the lessons I will provide. Please feel free to contact me if you have
any questions or would like to book some lessons!
Objective:
Explore the fundamentals of music production to enable students to further their musical education. The information
is intended to be fully transferable knowledge, and not focus on any specific genre or style. Students
will learn the basics of sound design, composing, mixing, mastering, and be provided with an overview
of creative opportunities and working in projects.
Students will be provided with Reaper DAW and an assortment of high quality freeware plugins and samples.
Students will not be required to move forward with any of these tools, however they will have the
knowledge to transfer what they’ve learned to their preferred software and workflow.
The goal of the program will be 7, 1-hour lessons. However the student’s skill level and needs will be
evaluated before the first lesson to determine the exact course. After the lesson duration the
student will be equipped with the ability to understand the world of music production and pursue
their personal goals.
